Dennis Memorial Library

An unusual request by our craft group in the "Write to Know" section of the Sunday Cape Cod Times  was met promptly by three individuals resulting in the arrival at Dennis Memorial Libray of equipment necessary for learning and executing an ancient craft. Three wooden looms now reside in the craft room, and the undaunted members of the craft group have taught themselves how to prepare a loom and how to weave. Keep posted as these new weavers learn more and develop their skills at this ancient and difficult craft.

They have taught themselves how to weave "rag rugs".  All are made from recycled material and the denim rugs are a wonder to be seen.  They plan to have some for sale at the Annual Craft Fair on December 13.
